12.5 - 4g = -2g - 3.5
12.5-2g=-3.5 (add 2g to both sides)
-2g=-16 (takeaway -12.5 to both sides)
g=8 (divide by -2 to both sides)

$12.5 -4g=-2g-3.5 \\\\ 12.5+3.5=-2g+4g \\\\ 16=2g \\\\ \boxed{g=(16)/(2)=8}$
