What is the quotient of -8x^6 over 4x^-3

a) x^9 over 32
b) 4x^9
c) -12 over x^2
d) -2x^9

(-8x^6) / (4x^3) can be broken down as (-8/4) * (x^6/x^-3)
you should know that -8/4 is -2
the second part is dividing variables at different powers which is kinda like subtracting powers

think of it as x ^ (6-(-3))
you get x^9
-2 * x ^9
= -2x^9
