Given,

\begin{gathered} (f+g)x=f(x)+g(x) \\ f(x)=9x-5 \\ g(x)=1-x \end{gathered}

Expanding the terms,

\begin{gathered} (f+g)x=(9x-5)+(1-x) \\ =9x-5+1-x \\ =9x-x-5+1 \end{gathered}
(f+g)x=8x-4

Hence, (f + g)x is 8x - 4.

F(x) + g(x).The sum of two functions, (f + g)(x), is defined as(f + g)(x) = f(x) + g-example-1
