We will do exactly what the question asks and we will Subtract C(x) from R(x) to discover P(x):

P(x) = R(x) - C(x)
P(x) = (
-2x^(2) + 900x - 200) - (
400x + 150)
P(x) =
-2x^(2) + 900x - 400x + 150 - 200
P(x) =
-2x^(2) + 500x - 50

Hope this helps!

-2x^2 + 500x - 350

You need to plug in the equations for C(x) and R(x) into the equation P(x)= R(x) - C(x) and solve.
