Given the function below

g(x)=(x-4)^2

Therefore

y=(x-4)^2
\begin{gathered} y=(x-4)(x-4) \\ y=x^2-4x-4x+16 \end{gathered}
y=x^2-8x+16

Given the general equation of a quadratic function as:

\begin{gathered} y=ax^2+bx+c \\ c\rightarrow is\text{ the yintercept} \end{gathered}

Hence, the y-intercept of the function g(x) is 16
