You have:
a = 9.81 m/s^2
Vi = 0 m/s
t = 60s

We use the equation:
d = Vit + (1/2)at^2
d = (1/2) x 9.81 x 60^2
d = 17'658 m

Now let's neglect air resistance and the fact that at some point in that 60 seconds, he will reach terminal velocity, which means that he will stop accelerating
