-4 (x-7) – 3.x = 14 (x + 5)

Apply distributive property:

-4(x)-4(-7)-3x = 14(x)+14(5)

-4x+28-3x = 14x+70

Combine like terms:

-7x+28 = 14x +70

Move the "x" terms to the left:

-7x-14x = 70-28

-21x = 42

Divide both sides by -21:

-21x/21 = 42/-21

x=-2
