I have it, Watson !
2 x (4 + 6 - 2) + (8/4)
.
-- The first parentheses encloses (4 + 6 - 2) and that's 8.
-- The fraction 8/4 is equal to 2 .
-- So now you have 2 x (8) + 2 . That's 16 + 2 = 18 .

Here the order of operation is very important. I put few parenthesis to show you what is the correct result. First you have to multiply/divide, then u can add/subtract
