To determine the probability that a person chosen at random likes dogs, you have to divide the number of people that like dogs by the total number of people surveyed:

108 prefer cats

181 prefer dogs

100 don't like pets

Total: 389


\begin{gathered} P(\text{Dogs)}=\frac{nº\text{dogs}}{\text{total}} \\ P(\text{Dogs)}=(181)/(389) \\ P(\text{Dogs)}=0.465\approx0.47 \end{gathered}
