7 + 5(x - 3) = 22

7 + 5x - 15 = 22 (Distributing)

7+ 5x = 22 + 15 ( Adding 15 on both sides of the equation)

5x = 22 + 15 - 7 (Subtracting 7 on both sides of the equation)

5x = 30 (Adding and subtracting)

x = 30 / 5 (Dividing on both sides by 15)

x = 6

The answer is the option C.
