The watchmen had come back to tell the banker that the young man had escaped through the window, letting know that the young man lost the bet, and the banker won, letting him keep his money.

Answer: The Banker won.

The correct answer to the question presented above is the banker.

He bet two million in exchange of a young man’s freedom. The man was willing to receive the money to spend fifteen years of his life in captivity in one lodge of the banker’s garden with strict supervision.
