There are 14 pieces of orange

Let the number of apples is x

SInce the ratio of orange to apple is 2:5 then

\begin{gathered} (2)/(5)=\frac{\text{ Number of Ornage}}{Number\text{ of Apples}} \\ (2)/(5)=(14)/(x) \\ \text{Apply cross multiplication} \\ 2x=14*5 \\ 2x=70 \\ x=(70)/(2) \\ x=35 \end{gathered}

So, the number of apples are 35.

Answer : 34
