1) Considering that the Vertex is on the origin (0,0) and the Focus is at (-9, 0)

Then we can write out:

y² =-2px p is the parameter

F= (-p/2, 0) Since the Focus is at (-9,0)

-p/2 = 9

-p = 18

p= -18
