the difference is that a heat exhaustion is when your in a very bad state and your about to get symptom etc but it doesn't kill you but a heat stroke can kill you because humans sadly cant be in high tempatures because it your too hot your stroke and die if its too cold you will get frostbite and they have to chop off that piece of your body plus if you dont worry it can travel to your heart and you die but exhaustion is just a bad state but as far as i heard nobody has died because of it

heat stroke happens after heat exhaustion

when your body gets too hot, that is heat exhaustion
when it gets hotter, heat stroke happens (internal tempurature reaches 104 degrees farenheight)

when you have heat exhaustion, your body tries to cool itself by sweating
when you have heat stroke, you body shuts down and cannot cool itself anymore so you heat up and die
