Your equation is in slope-intercept form which is represented by

y = mx + b

In the formula,
y = your y-axis coordinate
m = slope
x = x-axis coordinate
b = the y intercept (where the line crosses the y axis)

So with the equation

y = 2x - 3/2

The slope is 2

the slope is 2 because remember, y= mx+b
m= slope
the slope is always multiplied by x
