It takes 45 minutes to bake 2 dozen cupcakes. At this rate, how many hours would it take to bake 8 dozen cupcakes? I need to show all work involved at arriving at the answer.

see this is simple now we just have to find x
what do we multiply too 2 to get 8?
4 right?
so keeping that in mind we do the same thing to the denominator(the 45)

sooooo 45 x 4 = 180
now this is in minuets and since there are 60 minutes in one hour lets
divide 180/60 = 3
see how simple this one was?
so it would take you three hours to make 8 dozen cupcakes

45/2=22.5 minutes
Now you can start finding how many hours it would take to bake 8 dozen.
22.5 * 8 = 180.
180/60=3
Your answer is 3 hours!
