Since we have a 5% shipping charge, the total cost will be the price of shipping + the shipping charge... so how do we find the shipping charge. Well in math the word "of" means times, so to find 5% OF 15 we multiply...

5% x 15

We need to convert the percent to decimal in order to do the multiplication so divide it by 100 (move the decimal twice to the left)

.05 x 15 = .75

So the shipping charge is .75 or 75 cents. We need to add it in to the original cost to find the total...

$15 + $0.75 = $15.75

Your answer is C
