How to solve 6(2x - 5) = 4x + 2 and what are the properties with each step?

6(2x-5)=4x+2
| first you multiply out the bracket on the left side, so 6 x 2x = 12x and then 6 x -5 = -30

12x-30=4x+2
| Next you get all of the x terms onto one side, so take -4x from both sides

8x-30= 2
| Get all of the other terms onto one side, so add 30 to both sides

8x= 32
| Then you solve it by dividing both sides by 8

x= 4
