We considered the triangular face as the base, so the lateral area correspond to the three rectangular faces:

The area for these 3 faces is:

\begin{gathered} A_1=5\cdot10=50 \\ A_2=10\cdot13=130 \\ A_3=12\cdot10=120 \\ A_L=A_1+A_2+A_3=50+130+120=300 \end{gathered}

The lateral surface is 300 square units.

If we add the lateral surface and the area of the two triangles we will get the total area. As the triangles are equal we can write:

\begin{gathered} A=A_L+2\cdot A_t \\ A=300+2\cdot((12\cdot5)/(2)) \\ A=300+60 \\ A=360 \end{gathered}

The total surface is 360 square units.

Answer:

The lateral surface is 300 square units.

The total surface is 360 square units.
