John Calvin's religious ideas spread to North America with the help of the Pilgrims in the year 1620 and the Puritans in the year 1630. Both the Pilgrims and the Puritans were followers of Calvin's religious ideologies. People that came to North America from Holland also brought with them the Calvinist strain of Christianity. The Scots also followed the same path.
