Explain how you can use multiplication to find the perimeter of a square

Say the square is 4 inches on all sides. You can multiply 4 times 4 to get your answer. Squares will always have the same length on every side so you always multiply by 4 :)

MULTIPLY the base times 2, and the height times 2 and add them together to solve for perimeter.
