the system is:

\begin{gathered} -8x+4y=-24 \\ -7x+4y-16 \end{gathered}

Now we can rest the equations so:

\begin{gathered} -8x+4y-(-7y+4y)=-24-(-16) \\ -8x+4y+7y-4y=-24+16 \end{gathered}

Now we simplify it so:

\begin{gathered} -x=-8 \\ x=8 \end{gathered}

Now with the value of x we can replace it in any equation and solve for y so:

\begin{gathered} -8(8)+4y=-24 \\ -64+4y=-24 \\ 4y=-24+64 \\ 4y=40 \\ y=(40)/(4) \\ y=10 \end{gathered}

So the answer is:

(8,10)
