-6v+10.7=1.1

To solve this equation, we will separate v on the left side and move 10.7 to the right side. To do that let us subtract 10.7 from both sides

\because-6v+10.7-10.7=1.1-10.7

Now we will add the like terms

\begin{gathered} \therefore-6v+(10.7-10.7)=(1.1-10.7) \\ \therefore-6v+0=-9.6 \\ \therefore-6v=-9.6 \end{gathered}

We want to make the coefficient of v be 1, then divide both sides by -6

\begin{gathered} \because(-6v)/(-6)=(-9.6)/(-6) \\ \therefore v=1.6 \end{gathered}

The value of v is 1.6
