The slope-intercept form of a line is given by:

\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ where\colon \\ m=slope \\ b=y-intercept_{} \end{gathered}

so:

-5x+3y=-7.5

solve for y:

\begin{gathered} 3y=5x-7.5 \\ y=(5)/(3)x-(5)/(2) \\ \end{gathered}

So:

\begin{gathered} m=(5)/(3) \\ b=-(5)/(2) \end{gathered}

The x-intercept is:

\begin{gathered} y=0 \\ 0=(5)/(3)x-(5)/(2) \\ (5)/(3)x=(5)/(2) \\ x=(15)/(10)=1.5 \end{gathered}
