we have the following:

Addition

Property of equality

The property for addition, tell us in words that by adding the same number to both sides of an equality, we obtain a new valid equality

If a = b, so, a + c = b + c

If x = 5, so, x + 3 = 5 + 3

Subtraction

Property of equality

The property for subtraction, tells us that by subtracting the same number from both sides of an equality, we obtain another valid equality.

If a = b, so, a - c = b - c

If x = 15, so, x + 8 = 15 + 8

Multiplication

Property of equality

The property for multiplication, tells us in words that if we multiply both sides of the equality a real number, we get another new valid equality.

If a = b, so, a*c = b*c

If x = 9, so, x + 2 = 9 + 2

Division

Property of equality

The property for division, tells us that if we divide both sides of the equality by a real number (other than zero), we obtain another new valid equality.

If a = b, so, a/c = b/c; c other tan 0

If x = 4, so, x/10 = 4/10
