Since P(x) = R(x) - C(x), then:

P(x)=(2x^4-3x^3+2x-1)-(x^4-x^2+2x+3)

Then, simplify the expression above.

First, distribute the negative sign to the terms inside the second parenthesis.

P(x)=2x^4-3x^3+2x-1-x^4+x^2-2x-3

Then, arrange the terms according to their degree.

P(x)=2x^4-x^4-3x^3+x^2+2x-2x-1-3

Then, combine similar terms.

P(x)=x^4-3x^3+x^2-4

Therefore, the value P(x) is x⁴ - 3x³ + x² - 4.
