Given the equation of a straight line

y=(2)/(3)x-6

If we compare it with the slope-intercept form of the equation of a line:

y=mx+b

Then:

\begin{gathered} \text{Slope, m}=(2)/(3) \\ y-\text{intercept,b}=-6 \end{gathered}
