Read the excerpt and then answer the question that follows. “When shall we three meet again, In thunder, lightning, or in rain?” “When the hurly-burly's done, When the battle's lost and won.” What is the purpose of these opening lines?

A.They introduce the title character.

B.They establish the central theme.
C.They foreshadow the plot.
D.They describe the setting.

The purpose f these lines are to foreshadow the future. The plot, of what is to come. They are talking about meeting again iin the future and that gives the reader an idea of future events.
Hope this helps! If you have any other questions or need further explanation just let me know!! :)

C) They foreshadow the plot

We get an idea that the poem will be about how these 'three meet again' after having passed all their personal tribulations, 'when the battle's lost and won'.
