Changing species concept affected the classification system in that,

it lists the characteristics which distinguish one species from another has the effect of making it appear that the species and their distinctive attributes which are eternal and fixed.

The system which is used for animal species classification is known as a five-kingdom system.

Answer:

The basis of classification has also been changing with changing species concept. For example:

Typological species concept: During this concept, the classification was based on the similarities and differences in the physical characteristics of the organisms.

Biological species concept: Under this concept, the classification is based on the similarities that different organisms share and their ability to breed with each other to produce a fertile offspring.

Phylogenetic species concept: Classification is mainly based on the evolutionary history.
