You may have heard of GMFs (Genetically Modified Foods). Basically, certain traits (like fast growth and bug resistance) are inserted into different foods through the process of transformation.

This is helpful, as the plants will grow stronger. This is also more efficient for the environment (less pesticides can be used).

However, there is some controversy surrounding GMFs as well. Modifying genes "unnaturally" may cause diseases and uncomfort. There is also some danger in the process and results.

Answer:

Genetically altered crops require less pesticide.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the crops are stronger since they've been modified, farmers dont need as many pesticides, which everyone knows ruins the environment
