The Roman Empire was a very civilized society where several official languages in the vast Roman Empire were used. They also had the ability to build roads with the use of mud and stones meshed together which helped unify the entire Roman Empire. A single currency was established to facilitate trade within the empire and they set legal principles and respect for the governed helped unify the Roman Empire. These were all happening during the height of the Roman Empire.
