The equation in point-slope form is defined as

\begin{gathered} y-y_1=m(x-x_1) \\ \text{where} \\ m\text{ is the slope} \\ (x_1,y_1)\text{ are the coordinates of a point in the line} \end{gathered}

Given

a slope of m = -6

a point in the line that passes through (7,-4)

\begin{gathered} y-y_1=m(x-x_1) \\ \text{Substitute the values from the given} \\ y-(-4)=(-6)(x-7) \\ \\ y-(-4)=-6(x-7) \end{gathered}
