How do you find the area of a rectangle with a semicirle attached

First you find the area of a rectangle which is length times width and add that to the area of the semi circle which is Pi times the radius squared divided by 2.

Equation: (area of rectangle) + (area of semicircle)
length * width + ( Pi * r²) ÷ 2
