Given:
Circumference of the rim of the wheel 48 inches.
pi = 3.14
find the length of the spoke, radius.
C = 2πr
48 = 2 (3.14) r
48 = 6.28 r
48/6.28 = r
7.64 = r
The length of the spoke is 7.64 inches.
