2. C. The unemployment rate increased.-- the stock market crashing forced many companies to lay off workers which led to the highest record unemployment rate in US history.

3. A. The Federal Art Project -- as part of the Works Progress Administration, artists were employed to create sculptures, take photographs, and paint for public pieces. Artists were put to work to create pieces to document US history and create increased morale.

4. C. An air battle above the English Channel to prepare for an invasion of Britain-- The Battle of Britain was an air raid on Britain in an attempt to destroy military resources before invading the island.
