A regular hexagon has 6 sides.

The area of a regular hexagon given the apothem is given by:

\text{ Area (A) =}(1)/(2)\text{ }*\text{ Perimeter of the hexagon}*\text{ apothem}

The perimeter of a hexagon is calculated by:

\begin{gathered} \text{ Perimeter (P) = number of sides x side length} \\ \text{ = 6 x 12 = 72cm} \end{gathered}

Hence,

\text{ Area (A) =}(1)/(2)*72*10.39=374.04cm^2

Therefore, the area of the regular hexagon is 374.04cm²
