The values of x and y may be any value on the line, for this function y=f(x). The quick and easy way to share is to write as interval notation:

X for the values in the Domain: (-∞, ∞)

Y values, (numbers) in the Range ; (-∞, ∞)

1) The values of x

In the graph below we have a function, y=f(x).

The values, numbers of x, i.e. the Domain is D =(-∞, ∞) for there are no restrictions and the line is infinite.

The values of y:

The values, numbers of y are also defined as (-∞, ∞) since there are restrictions and may assume any value.

So.

2) We may share our answer as an interval notation

X for the values in the Domain: (-∞, ∞)

Y values, (numbers) in the range ; (-∞, ∞)
