She ran 2 miles because you have to multiply 3 laps by 2/3. It already gives you the total for 1 mile so you don't need to do any division all you have to do is multiply and you get 2 miles.

Answer:

2\ laps

Explanation:

we know that

Tara ran
3 laps around her neighborhood for a total of
1 mile yesterday

so

by proportion

Find how many laps will she need to run
2/3 of a mile around her neighborhood

(3)/(1)(laps)/(mile)=(x)/((2/3))(laps)/(mile) \\ \\x=(2/3)*3\\ \\x=2\ laps
