In a litter of puppies, if there 2 black, 6 yellow and 1 brown, what is the ratio of yellow puppies to brown puppies?

Answer is the ratio 6:1

This is because there are 6 yellow and 1 brown. We write those two numbers, in that exact order. The values are separated by a colon. Another way to write the ratio is to write "6 to 1" in that order.

I believe that would be a 6:1 ratio. The 2 wouldn’t matter unless we’re talking about possibilities of birth.
