Translate the sentence into an equation.The difference of a number times 3 and 8 is 2. Use the variable c for the unknown number. How do I figure this out?

-3c+8=2 you minus 8 on both sides of the equation then you'll get -6 then divide -3c by -6 so c equals to 2 c=2

The parenthesis means to multiply again.
