A. 1 2/3 cheese pizza was eaten

3/4 pepperoni pizza was eaten

In total

The total pizza that was eaten is

1(2)/(3)+(3)/(4)

Convert the mixed fraction to improper fraction

This gives

(5)/(3)+(3)/(4)

Add the fractions

\begin{gathered} (5)/(3)+(3)/(4) \\ =(20+9)/(12) \\ =(29)/(12) \\ =2(5)/(12) \end{gathered}

Therefore the total pizza that was eaten is

2(5)/(12)

B. If the total pizzas ordered is 4

The leftover pizza is

4-2(5)/(12)

Substract

\begin{gathered} 4-(29)/(12) \\ =(48-29)/(12) \\ =(19)/(12) \\ =1(7)/(12) \end{gathered}

Therefore, the leftover pizza is

1(7)/(12)
