The Battle of Gettysburg was General Robert E. Lee's second attempt at invading and attaching Union forces. It is also considered one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War and lasted three days. The Battle is considered the beginning of the end, because it would be the last attempt from the confederacy to attack the Union in the North in their own territory.
