A.

The cost of furniture with tax would most probably be a decimal number.

Hundredths basically is 2 decimal place and rounding to nearest hundredth is quite appropriate for the situation.

B.

Height is usually measured in feet and inches. Only rounding to the nearest feet would not give a proper accuracy.

C.

The number of hamburger patties needed will definitely be a whole number, not a fraction. So, this is appropriate for the situation.

D.

The weight in ounces is a great measure. It is accurate.

E.

The distance from one state to another must be measured in miles or kilometers.

Centimeter is a very small unit for measurement for the distance between Florida and California.
