2x - 3y < 12
-3y < -2x + 12...change the inequality sign because ur dividing by a negative number
y > 2/3x - 4

u have a slope of 2/3.....u have a y intercept of -4 or (0,-4)

to find the x int, sub in 0 for y and solve for x....disregard the inequality sign ....
y = 2/3x - 4
0 = 2/3x - 4
-2/3x = -4
x = -4 / (-2/3)
x = -4 * -3/2
x = 12/6
x = 2......and ur x int is 2 or (2,0)

so go ahead and plot ur intercepts (0,-4) and (2,0)....so start at (0,-4)...and since u have a slope of 2/3......go up 2 spaces and to the right 3 spaces...plot that point....then up 2 and to the right 3...plot that point...keep doing this and u will cross the x axis at (2,0)......now just draw a dashed line connecting ur plotted points

ur line will be a dashed line (because there is no equal sign in the problem)....ur shading will be above the line because it is greater then
