ATP is used in the formation of the polypeptide in the ribosome during translation. It induces the transport of amino acid by tRNA. ATP is a pressure for the synthesis of RNA and DNA. As an Adenosine Triphosphate, it is one of the 4 monomers nucleosides, when transformed to dATP, that are used to synthesize DNA. ATP is also used to transport materials across the cell membrane against a concentration gradient.
