Answer:

35 ways

Explanation:

Total number of divisions, n = 7

Number of odd number divisions (r) of 2,3 and x = 3

Let nCr be the number of ways r- objects can be divided from n- objects, that is, nCr = n!/r!(n - r)! = 7!/3!(7 - 3)! = 7!/3!4!

nCr = 7 x 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1/{3 x 2 x 1(4 x3 x2 x 1)} = 7 x 6 x 5/3 x 2 = 7 x 5

∴ nCr = 35
