Let:

x be the number of games of bowling

y be the number of games of laser tags.

Then,

If the total number of games is 7:

x + y = 7.

Also, if the total cost is 18:

2x + 4y = 18.

To write in the slope-intercept form, isolate y.

Isolating y in the first equation:

Subtract x from both sides:

x + y - x = 7 - x

y = -x + 7

And in the second equation:

Subt;act 2x from both sides:

2x + 4y - 2x = 18 - 2x

4y = 18 - 2x

And divide both sides by 4:

4y/4 = 18/4 - 2x/4

y = -0.5x + 4.5

Answer:

The system is x + y = 7 and 2x + 4y = 18.

And in the slope-intercept form y = -x + 7 and y = -0.5x + 4.5.
