Given,

The distance between both Alma and Bill is 230 miles.

The Speed of Bill is 16 miles per hour faster than Alma.

The taken by both to meet is 5 hours.

Consider, The speed of Alma is x mile per hour.

The speed of Bill is (x+16) mile per hour.

The formula of speed is,

\begin{gathered} \text{Speed=}(Dis\tan ce)/(time) \\ 16+x+x=(230)/(5) \\ 16+2x=46 \\ 2x=30 \\ x=15 \end{gathered}

Hence, the speed of the Alam is 15 mile per hour and speed of Bill is 31 km per hour.
