Use PEMDAS in order it goes in order with

Parentheses

When there is only a multiplication and or division problem left, work the problem from left to right and thats is the same for adding and subtracting

Use P.E.M.D.A.S
----------------------------------
Solve parenthesis first
-59 + 45 = -14
Just think of subtraction 45 - 59 = -14
--------------------------------------------------------------
-44 + 37 = -7
Again think of subtraction 37 - 44 = -7
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
When you subtract a negative from a negative it's always a negative, just think of 14 + 7 = 21 but now you add the negative symbols -14 + -7 = -21
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your answer is -21
