1. If x = -3 , evaluate : 2x + x + 2x + 5

2. 2 ( 2x + 1) + x = x + 2x + 18
3. 2x + x + 2x = 10 + x
Please help thank you in advance :)

Answer:

1. -10

2.x=8

3. x= 2

Explanation:

1. x = 3, 2x+x+2x+5

=2(-3)+(-3)+2(-3)+5

= -6 +(-3)+(-6)+5

= -6 -3 -6 +5 Next you have to use BODMAS rule so first addition

= -6 -3 -1

= -9-1

= -10

2. 2(2x+1)+x=x+2x+18

=4x+2+x=3x+18 then collect like terms:

=4x+x+2=3x+18

=5x+2=3x+18

=5x+2-2=3x+18-2

=5x=3x+16

=5x-3x=3x-3x+16

= 2x=16

2x/2=16/2

x=8

3.2x+x+2x=10+x

=6x=10+x

=6x-x=10+x-x

=5x=10

=5x/5=10/5

x=2

If its helpful ❤❤❤
